Offer | Lune d'Argent, Clos des Lunes, Bordeaux 2021
A very pale golden hue in the glass; with delicate aromas of apricot, white peach, mango and citrus, perhaps even a hint of pineapple, all very fragile and interwoven at this early stage of the wine's evolution.
The palate is again delicate and precise; peach, apricot and citrus notes are the first to emerge with a faint creamy, honied character to the palate which evolves into a lovely tight, dry finish which grips the palate and beacons you back for more.
Given a few moments in the glass the aromatics open further still as does the palate, it's worth taking a little time over to fully appreciate the complexity within.
Previous experience has taught me that this wine will evolve beautifully in the bottle, the texture on the palate becoming more pronounced and a rounded, more savoury edge developing but not at the expense of freshness of fruit. It's a keeper for sure, if you can, but there's no denying that it's rather delicious as-is.
