"Finally, the 2017 Domaine Alain Michelot Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Chaignots from fourth-generation Elodie Michelot, daughter of fabled Alain. Rupert declared it ‘full-bodied, almost pillowy’, Will reckoned it ‘agricultural, but in a good way’ and Lara loved its intensity. It certainly has great concentration of blackberry fruit and, with just a touch of new oak, a whisper of vanilla along with more leathery, truffly notes. Rupert pondered his second glass before professing it to be it ‘Nuits-Saint-Gorgeous’."
