One of Tuscany's oldest producers using the region's ancient "Governo" method by which dried grapes are added to the ferment to enhance color, body, texture, fragrance and power.

From Urbina's best fruit and from 20-year-old + vines for a Rioja of superb depth and intensity, to which 19 years of cellaring has added wonderful, intriguing nuance.

Strikingly fresh and pure for a Malbec, with warm, sweetish bramble fruit, savoury spice and soft ripe tannins. Really characterful and well-balanced.
