James's White Wine Discovery Case
Mixed Case Comprised of:
4 x Sancerre, François Millet 2020
A very delicate pale gold shimmer in the glass hints at the finesse of this latest release. 2020 was another warm vintage for the region which inevitably results in a more fruit-driven style, yet this example retains an elegance which I find enchanting.
4 x Village Montagny, Vignerons de Buxy 2018
There's a lovely, light golden shimmer in the glass with vibrant aromas of citrus and stone-fruit. The palate follows suit with ripe exotic stone-fruit, citrus and an elegant, herbaceous, almost spicy edge and a good length to the finish. There's a real freshness and zip to the palate, yet it still retains a texture and weight which I really particularly enjoyed.
4 x Pouilly-Vinzelles 'En Paradis', Louis Latour 2018
Golden honey yellow with a wonderful bouquet of white peaches, apricots and arcacia. Full bodied with a lemon tang and a hint of vanilla and almonds leading a long rich finish. This is what the very best white Burgundies from the Mâconnais should taste like.
