Fine Red Wine
Fine Red Wine
Most red wine is derived from an expert process of maceration and fermentation. Once complete, the processed grape juice is blended with an array of delicious complementary ingredients. Grown across the world, the varietals will develop decadent wines to please all tastes and preferences.
Some, including Gamay and Pinot Noir, are first-choice for those seeking a light and delicate casual quaff. Conversely, seasoned drinkers may prefer a full-bodied, spicy Malbec to savour the complex flavours of each sip.
Since 2007, From Vineyards Direct has offered a deliberately small, hand-selected range of wines sourced directly from growers across Europe and beyond. Our team of experts are well-versed in the specifications of authentic terroir-driven cuvées. We deliver only the best red wines in the world to our loyal customers. We provide expertise, advice and a carefully curated selection of wines to all UK addresses.

The Finest Red Wine FAQs
-
What is a “Good” Red Wine?
A "good" red wine is subjective but generally relies on the balance of the flavours, the intensity of the aroma and the finish. If you would like to know what our customers think, sort by “Popularity”.
-
Is Red Wine Gluten-Free?
Red wine is naturally gluten-free, as there are no glutenous ingredients incorporated in the wine or necessary for its fermentation process. However, some growers may store their produce in oak barrels sealed with wheat paste or add fining agents containing gluten. Fortunately, our personal relationships with our producers enable us to contact them personally to ensure there are no traces of gluten in the wines we supply. Please do not hesitate to give us a call if you would like to be sure.

How to Store Red Wine?
Red wine should be stored horizontally in a cool, dark area not subject to temperature fluctuations. A consistent temperature of 10-15°C is recommended to keep the cork moist and maintain the freshness of the wine. Other storage factors that can detriment the flavour of your wine include strong and persistent smells, extreme lows and highs of humidity, direct sunlight and vibration.
