"The 2021 Saint-Julien should more than suffice. From one of the great Saint-Julien estates, it displays classic cedar wood on the nose and taut, restrained plum/sloe fruit in the mouth. It’s an up right and correct claret but with a cheeky, playful look in the eye."

Another very pretty, expressive 2021 with
pronounced blackberry and plum aromas
and an underlying green-leaf freshness.
Positively glowing, with attractive perfume,
warm, sweetish autumn-berry intensity and
subtle herbaceous notes. A little more merlot
here than the other Médoc appellations- with
luscious texture and no hard edges. Finishes
with a dash of smoky spice and appealing
chewy richness. Drink now-2028.
