The Wines:
Montagny 1er Cru 'Les Loges', Vieilles Vignes 2018 - A fresh, lightly oaked wine with the weight, richness and complexity one expects from good white burgundy. Plenty of floral notes and a long finish. A delicious, lovely wine to drink with good food.
Chablis 1er cru Beauroy, Domaine de la Motte 2019 - The grapes of this lovely Chablis are sourced from Premier Cru vineyards. It is rich and full with ripe citrus and white fruit. It has the flinty minerality that one expects from a really good Premier Cru Chablis, with a subtle toasty note from a touch of oak. The citric flavours and minerality remain prominent over a very long finish. Delicious.
Pouilly-Vinzelles 'En Paradis', Louis Latour 2018 - Golden honey yellow with a wonderful bouquet of white peaches, apricots and arcacia. Full bodied with a lemon tang and a hint of vanilla and almonds leading a long rich finish. This is what the best Burgundies from the Mâconnais regions should last like.
