A sumptuous blend of Sangiovese and Merlot from one of Chianti's most ancient estates, representing over 5 centuries of Siennese winemaking. Loves grilled red meats, game, mature cheeses.

Luminous ruby red colour. Dark cherries, sweet spice, violets, and hints of dark chocolate and menthol emerge on the nose. Full-bodied, with a creamy mouthfeel and a lovely long finish.

A blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara with 12 months ageing. A deep and concentrated 'Ripasso' styled wine.

Vibrant and flavourful with soft, silky tannin - a little plumper darker and rounder perhaps than its neighbour Chianti, and a fine expression of sangiovese.
