2012 Château Angludet, Margaux
"Another truly exceptional wine from the Sichel family, the 2012 d'Angludet has a deep ruby/purple color, a sweet floral, blueberry and blackcurrant-scented nose with a touch of licorice, light tannins, low acidity and a nice, fleshy mouthfeel. This is a sexy, mouth-filling and satisfying wine from both a hedonistic and intellectual vantage point. Drink this sleeper of the vintage over the next decade." Drink 2015-2015.
90 points, Robert Parker
What I love about 2012 is the sheer luxurious, fruit forward nature of the wines on both banks of the Gironde. Here at Angludet you are greeted on the nose with density, vanilla coated black cherry, Victoria plum and a touch of wood-smoke. The palate is lythe and rewarding, with slowly evolving silky generosity. Though not holding the structure or intellectual definition of, 2010 say, what it does offer is a luxurious, Cabernet-rich mouthful of Margaux charm.
